Character Creation Guidelines



Please refer to Chapter 3 of Vampire: The Masquerade and the appropriate supplements for character creation.

*Setites and Gangrel may be sanctioned into any sect they wish. Make sure you let the sanctioning ST know ahead of time which sect your character belongs to. Be sure to include the reasoning for this in your character background thread. Be sure to take into consideration the possible consequences of such actions. No one will ever be denied the chance to play the underdog or the traitor
* Serpents of the Light may not be sanctioned without approval by the HST.
*Gangrels maybe city or country; this being decided by your character's background.

Disciplines

Non-clan specific may be bought with freebie points at creation. These include the basic eight disciplines that are accessible to all bloods:

Animalism
Auspex
Celerity
Dominate
Fortitude
Obfuscate
Presence
Potence
*Panders and Caitiff may start with any of these common disciplines; they may not have any clan specifics.

*Giovanni may start on any Necromancy path with justification. They may also start with a path other than humanity.


Misc.

Secondaries: Bought just like any other ability at creation. Two freebie points per level.

Mortal to Immortal

When a character is embraced in game the ST will give the player additional points to add to the appropriate areas on their sheet:
1/1/0 Attributes
2/2/1 Abilities
15 Freebies

Mortal to Ghoul

As stated in the house rules; one will not be charged for backgrounds earned in character; this includes the background of retainer and domitor.
All ghouls get the correct amount of domitor background points as applies (Ghouls: Fatal Addiction Pg. 82). All domitors will receive the retainer background.
All ghouls take on potence as a mandatory discipline and receive one of their domitor's disciplines free of charge. (Storyteller discretion may or may not come into play on this)
Deterioration
Some ghouls will begin to take on physical traits of their domitors over time. Those unfortunate souls drink from the Nosferatu and Gangrel clan. Some take on their domitor's mental or emotional traits that are inherent of the blood; Malkavian and Brujah ghouls are known for this.


*When roleplaying your character try to think on your disciplines from an in character perspective. Thinking on them as stats steals from the roleplay. Think on how your character would believe them to work or how they perceive them. It will add more to the roleplay and give the character more depth.
